This intelligent auto-start and auto-stop behavior is the Smart Generator’s defining feature. Set your preferred battery level thresholds in the EcoFlow app, and the generator manages itself completely — cycling on and off automatically throughout a multi-day outage to keep your EcoFlow station charged without burning fuel unnecessarily. Compared to a traditional generator running at full output continuously, this approach can dramatically extend total fuel runtime while maintaining the same backup capability. The dual-fuel design adds further resilience, allowing you to run on either gasoline or LPG depending on which is more readily available in your situation.
At 4,000W of output, the Smart Generator 4000 can charge a DELTA Pro 3 from 0 to full capacity in approximately 1.5 hours. It is compatible with the DELTA Pro, DELTA Pro 3, DELTA Pro Ultra, and other EcoFlow stations that support smart generator integration.
