Originally introduced in 1999, the Starmate was created by legendary custom knifemaker Bob Terzuola and Spyderco founder Sal Glesser. This limited-production Sprint Run celebrates that partnership by bringing the classic design back with modern materials and premium performance. The knife features a hollow-ground modified clip-point blade crafted from CPM 20CV stainless steel, a high-performance powder metallurgy steel known for outstanding edge retention and corrosion resistance. Paired with peel-ply textured black G-10 handle scales and nested skeletonized stainless steel liners, the Starmate offers a strong yet lightweight build designed for dependable everyday carry.
