Screen identification first. Every rifle here is matched to IMFDB's frame-by-frame identification for that film, including who carries it and in which scene. Where the movie gun was a one-off custom build (the Taran Tactical TR-1, Mr. Nobody's takedown Marlin) we say so, and we point you to the closest factory rifle instead of pretending you can order the prop.
Real prices, not MSRP guesses. Each "buy today" price is the lowest new listing we found on Guns.com on September 23, 2026. Two exceptions: the SIG P556 SWAT is only available used, and Spike's Tactical sells the Compressor directly. This is a research guide. We didn't shoot every rifle on this list, so we don't pretend we did.

How to own one: The TR-1 is a Taran Tactical custom build, not a factory rifle you can find on a shelf. The closest factory rifle is Bravo Company's own RECCE-14 MCMR, a 14.5" 5.56 carbine built by the company that made most of the movie gun's parts. It's $1,980.99 new on Guns.com.

The build: IMFDB identifies the screen gun as the Billet ST Compressor with Spike's LRS (Long Reflex Suppressor), 5.56.
How to own one: Spike's sells it directly. The Billet ST Compressor runs $3,269 to $3,669 and the Forged version $2,719 to $3,119, in 5.56 or .300 Blackout, with suppressor options. Spike's lists it as an NFA Title II item: you order by phone through your dealer (FFL/SOT) and file an ATF Form 4. The $200 tax dropped to $0 on January 1, 2026, but the paperwork didn't go away.

Chapter 3's armory scenes show more rifles than anyone could fire in one movie. These appear on screen but either aren't sold to US civilians or are only found used:
- FN FS2000 Tactical: 5.56 bullpup, discontinued by FN. Used market only.
- AKS-74U "Krinkov" (×2): The real thing is a Russian select-fire carbine. Civilian lookalikes are semi-auto pistol builds.
- H&K G36C (×2): Select-fire military carbine. There is no US civilian G36C.
- SIG SG 552 (×2 in the armory, ×2 in the Soup Kitchen): Swiss carbine that is rare and expensive in the US. The P556 above is the attainable cousin.
- Battle Arms Development BAD-PDW: A compact AR with a PDW stock, typically built as an SBR.
- IWI TAR-21: The original Tavor. Its civilian successors are the Tavor SAR and X95.
- SAI GRY: Salient Arms International's high-end custom AR.
- PTR rifles: American-made HK91-pattern .308 rifles.
- Veritas Tactical VT16 PDW: Carried by one of the Elder's Berbers in the Sahara. Zero Guns.com listings.

Short barrels, suppressors and the $0 tax stamp
A lot of the Wick look comes from short barrels and suppressors, and both are regulated under the National Firearms Act. The $200 federal tax on short-barreled rifles and suppressors dropped to $0 on January 1, 2026. You still file an ATF Form 4 (or Form 1 to build your own), pass the background check and wait for approval, and your state still has to allow it. The Spike's Compressor is sold as an NFA item. The CMMG Banshees are sold as pistols: add a stock and you've made a short-barreled rifle that needs the same paperwork. If the forms put you off, the 16-inch rifles here (Colt M4, BCM RECCE-16, SIG516, Galil ACE, Marlin 1894) need none of it.

Do I need a tax stamp for a John Wick rifle?
Only for the short-barreled or suppressed setups. Since January 1, 2026 the federal NFA tax on SBRs and suppressors is $0, but the Form 4 and approval are still required. A 16-inch rifle with no suppressor needs no NFA paperwork.
The bottom line
If you want the rifle that says "John Wick" to everyone at the range, buy the SIG MPX and watch for the Taran replica to come back in stock.
