OSS America is a brand operated by RARI Enterprises LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("RARI", "we", "us"). By using ossamerica.com, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. These terms are governed by US law and apply equally to visitors, account holders, and brand partners.
What OSS America is
OSS America is a federated marketplace and discovery platform for outdoor sports brands that meet our three pillars (headquartered here, hiring here, held to a standard). Some products are sold through OSS America-hosted checkout; others are sold by the brand directly via affiliate link. In both cases, the brand is the seller of record for the products listed in its storefront.
Use of the site
You agree to:
- Use the site for lawful purposes only.
- Not attempt to scrape, copy, or systematically extract content, product data, or photography without written permission.
- Not reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the site.
- Not impersonate any other user, brand, or OSS America staff.
Accounts
If you create an account, you're responsible for keeping your login secure and for everything done from your account. Notify us at support@ossamerica.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
Purchases
When you buy a product through OSS America:
- The brand is the seller of record. Shipping, warranty, returns, and customer service are handled by the brand.
- For OSS America-hosted checkouts, payment is processed by Stripe. The brand fulfills the order.
- For affiliate links, the purchase happens directly on the brand's website under their own terms of sale.
- Prices, availability, and product specifications are set by the brand and may change without notice.
Brand storefronts
Brands listed on OSS America are vetted under our three-pillar standard before approval. We reserve the right to remove a brand that no longer meets that standard or violates the terms of its storefront agreement. Listing on OSS America does not guarantee endorsement; it confirms only that the brand has passed our vetting at the time of listing.
Content + reviews
Editorial reviews, field tests, and category guides are the opinion of the OSS America crew member who wrote them. We strive for accuracy but cannot guarantee any product will perform the same way in your hands as it did in ours.
User-submitted content
If you submit reviews, comments, photos, or other content to OSS America, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and adapt that content on our platform. You retain ownership of your content and can ask us to remove it.
Intellectual property
The OSS America name, logo, creed, editorial content, photography, and software belong to OSS America and our licensors. Brand names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Disclaimers
OSS America is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied. We don't guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free content, or that any product will meet your specific needs.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OSS America's total liability for any claim arising out of your use of the site is limited to the amount you paid OSS America in the twelve months before the claim arose, or $100, whichever is greater.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify OSS America and its team against any claims arising out of your use of the site in violation of these terms or applicable law.
Changes to the terms
We'll update these terms when material changes happen. The "last updated" date below tells you when. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of [Founder's state — to be set]. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in that state's courts.
