Hogue EX-F01 5.5" Drop Point Fixed Blade, Black Cerakote, G-Mascus Green G10

A fixed blade earns its place on the days a folder can't keep up: splitting kindling at a cold camp, cutting a stuck line, field-dressing a deer, or riding on a pack where it has to be there the second you reach for it. With no pivot and no folding lock, a fixed blade is about as simple as a knife gets, and the Hogue EX-F01 is built for that kind of work.

The 5.5-inch drop point blade is A2 tool steel, 0.235 inch thick, cryogenically heat treated to 57-59 HRC. Hogue gives it a flat grind, a hand-honed edge and a black Cerakote finish. In plain English, that is a thick, stiff blade with an edge finished by hand.

The handle wears Hogue's G-Mascus green G10 scales, and the frame has an internal Torx tool built in. Lanyard and lashing holes let you add a lanyard or tie the knife down, and an impact pommel sits at the butt end. Overall, the knife is 10.5 inches long and weighs 10.4 ounces.

It ships with a ballistic nylon MOLLE sheath, so it can ride on gear with MOLLE webbing. Hogue backs its knives with a limited lifetime warranty to the original owner against defects in materials or workmanship.
