Product description
When someone needs your first aid kit, nobody wants to wait while you dig for it. The Tasmanian Tiger IFAK Pouch VL L keeps your individual first aid kit mounted where you can reach it, and the IFAK slides out from the side of the pouch.
The back carries a hook panel, so the pouch goes straight onto loop surfaces such as the TT Modular Front Seat Panel or the inside of TT's modular backpacks. For webbing, it comes with a MOLLE hook-and-loop adapter. Tasmanian Tiger builds it from 700-denier CORDURA, which it says combines the wear resistance of classic 1000-denier fabric with the lightness of 500-denier, and finishes it with a PFC/PFAS-free DWR.
It measures 20 x 14 x 5 cm (about 7.9 x 5.5 x 2 inches) and weighs 290 grams, about 10.2 ounces. One honest note straight from Tasmanian Tiger: because of the hook-and-loop fastening, this pouch is not suitable for every kind of tactical use in the field, and TT points those users to its standard TT IFAK Pouch with MOLLE fastening. TT's product page describes the pouch only and lists no medical supplies, so plan to stock it with your own kit.
Questions and answers
Does it come with medical supplies?
Tasmanian Tiger's product page describes the pouch and its attachment system only and lists no medical contents, so plan to fill it with your own supplies.
How does it attach?
A hook panel on the back attaches to loop counterparts such as the TT Modular Front Seat Panel or the inside of modular TT backpacks. A MOLLE hook-and-loop adapter lets you mount it on webbing.
Is it right for hard field use?
Tasmanian Tiger says the hook-and-loop fastening makes it unsuitable for every kind of tactical field use, and suggests the TT IFAK Pouch (item 7951) with MOLLE fastening as the alternative.
How big is it?
20 x 14 x 5 cm, or about 7.9 x 5.5 x 2 inches, and it weighs 290 grams.
