Product description
The CAA MCK Gen 1 conversion kit for the Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9mm and .40 is the thinnest MCK CAA has ever produced, shaped around the slim Shield.
It carries the Gen 1 name, but CAA gave it key features from its popular Gen 2 platform. An aluminum top Picatinny rail comes standard for stability and durability. Up front, the spare magazine holder relies on a magazine button catch and release for stronger retention.
Installation doesn't require taking the pistol apart. Set the Shield in the chassis, lock it and go. A built-in charging handle speeds things up, handling is ambidextrous, and the slide release stays exposed so you can work it directly. Side rails leave room for a laser, a light or thumb rests, though the light, flip-up sights and thumb rests aren't in the box.
If your Shield has a manual safety, it will still fit, but you won't be able to reach the safety while the pistol is installed. Colors run Black, FDE Tan, OD Green and Tungsten Grey, and CAA makes the kit in the USA. Laws on these kits vary, so check yours; OSS America won't ship to states that restrict them.

Yes, Shield models with a manual safety fit. The catch is that you can't access the safety while the pistol is installed in the MCK.
Why is the Shield kit slimmer than other MCKs?
It follows the slim shape of the Shield itself. CAA says that makes it the thinnest MCK it has ever produced.
Which Gen 2 features does this Shield kit share?
