The CAA MCK Gen 2 conversion kit for the Smith & Wesson M&P 1.0 and 2.0 Full Size and Compact is the upgraded version of CAA's M&P chassis, built on its newer Gen 2 platform. CAA bills this one as suppressor ready.
So what changed from Gen 1? The rear door now extends back 15 degrees farther, which makes the pistol easier to insert. The charging handle was enhanced for a more secure grip. An improved frame lock and spring keep assembly and disassembly quick. The magazine holder got an upgrade too, with a secure mag catch for the spare.
For suppressor use, the design makes room for suppressors with a diameter of up to 1.38 inches, and it works with suppressor-height sights. The aluminum Picatinny top rail adds stability and gives you more accessory options. If you want to keep your brass, the kit accepts the CAA USA Brass Catcher, sold separately.
