Product description
The buck is finally inside 30 yards, and the last thing you want is a sharp slap of string echoing through the woods after the shot. The Saunders VUDU-X string stop is built to quiet that moment on your compound bow.
The VUDU-X replaces your current carbon rod dampener. Instead of the string simply striking a pad, it is trapped in a recoil chamber, which eliminates resonant strikes while also absorbing limb shock. That means less noise and less buzz carried back to your hand.
This version uses a 3/8 in. diameter carbon rod that is 8 in. long, finished in black. The rod can be shortened, so you can trim it for a fit that suits your bow.
Not sure which rod size your bow uses? Take a 5/16 in. open-end wrench and slip it over your stock rod. If it does not fit, you have a 3/8 in. rod and this Saunders VUDU-X string stop is the size to choose.
Questions and answers
How do I know if I need the 3/8 in. or 5/16 in. rod?
Slip a 5/16 in. open-end wrench over your stock rod. If the wrench does not fit, you have a 3/8 in. rod and this version is the one you need.
Can I cut the rod to length?
Yes. The carbon rod can be shortened so you can get the fit you want on your bow.
Does this replace my existing string stop?
It is designed to replace your current carbon rod dampener.
