Bear Fred Bear Montana Longbow, Right Hand

Some hunters want nothing between them and the shot but wood, string and instinct. A whitetail slipping past at 15 yards, a quiet draw, an arrow off the shelf. The Bear Fred Bear Montana Longbow is built for that kind of hunting.

This 64-inch AMO longbow uses a black hard-rock maple riser and white maple limbs, both backed and faced with high strength black fiberglass. Bear describes it as quick and smooth, and the build reflects traditional craftsmanship. The bow tips are handcrafted and layered with the same black and white fiberglass, giving the bow a clean, matched look from tip to tip.

You shoot this longbow straight off the shelf, with a leather arrow rest included. A supple leather grip and leather side plate give your hand a familiar feel and protect the riser where the arrow passes. It comes strung with a Dynaflight 97 Flemish twist string, so it is ready to tune and shoot.

This page offers the Fred Bear Montana Longbow in Right Hand at 50 or 55 lbs. Pick the draw weight you can pull smoothly and hold steady, then spend the off-season building form with a traditional bow that rewards practice.
