Product description
When a target shows up close and fast, you need to find the reticle without hunting for it. The EOTech 552 holographic sight is built for that moment, with 1x magnification for quick target acquisition at close to medium distances.
The reticle is a 68 MOA ring surrounding a 1 MOA center dot. The big ring draws your eye to the target in a hurry, while the small dot gives you a precise aiming point when you have time to settle in. Anti-reflection coatings are part of the design.
Lighting conditions change, and this red dot sight has settings for them. You get 20 brightness levels for daytime shooting plus 10 levels made for Gen I, II and III night vision devices.
Power comes from 2 AA batteries, a size that is easy to find. EOTech rates battery life at 2,500 continuous hours at setting 12 at room temperature, or 2,200 hours with AA alkaline cells.
Mounting is straightforward. An integrated quick-detach lever fits both 1 inch Weaver and MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rails. The sight is water-resistant to 33 feet and weighs 11.5 ounces. If you want a holographic sight that handles day and night use on a rail-equipped rifle, the EOTech 552 deserves a close look.
