Hornady RAPiD Night Guard RFID Nightstand Gun Safe

It is the middle of the night, a noise wakes you, and you want your pistol in hand without fumbling in the dark. The Hornady RAPiD Night Guard RFID safe is built for that bedside moment, holding a full-sized pistol or valuables in a low-profile design made for nightstand use.

You get three ways in. Tap one of the four included RFID tags to the reader, enter your own programmed access code on the keypad, or use the mechanical key. The spring-assist drawer slides open quietly to reveal a padded interior, so your handgun is ready without a clatter.

The tempered glass front panel houses the RFID reader, keypad and a digital clock, so this nightstand gun safe can stand in for your alarm clock display. Two USB-A ports let you charge your phone right where you sleep. It runs on 12V 1.0A AC power or four AA batteries.

A tamper-resistant design pairs heavy-duty exterior construction with hardened interior locking lugs. Exterior dimensions are 3 x 12 x 10.5 inches, the interior measures 2.2 x 9.2 x 6.9 inches, and the safe weighs 18 lbs. If you want quick, quiet access to a handgun at the bedside, the Hornady RAPiD Night Guard RFID safe is worth a close look.
