Viridian RFX42 Closed Emitter Green Dot Reflex Sight, Shield RMSc Footprint, Black

A carry pistol lives a hard life: lint, rain, sweat, and a holster that rubs it all day. The Viridian RFX42 reflex sight is a closed emitter green dot built for that routine, with an enclosed emitter design that protects against debris and moisture so the dot is there when you draw.

The 3.5 MOA green dot gives you a simple aiming point through a 21 x 17 mm fully multi-coated aspherical lens at 1x magnification. Ten brightness settings, eight visible and two night vision compatible, let you match the dot to bright sun, indoor light, or a night vision setup.

INSTANT-ON motion activation wakes the sight when you pick up the gun, and a 2-minute automatic shutoff helps conserve the single CR1620 battery, which is rated for up to 28,000 hours. The housing is CNC-machined 6061 aluminum and the sight is rated IPX6 water resistant.

The RFX42 uses the Shield RMSc footprint and measures 1.6 x 1.0 x 1.04 inches, weighing 0.9 oz without the battery. Viridian lists fits for a long range of slim pistols, including the Sig P365 family, Springfield Hellcat, Glock 43X and 48 MOS, S&W Shield models, Ruger Max 9, and the Mossberg 940 Tactical shotgun. If you want a compact green dot reflex sight that stays clean on a daily carry gun, check your model against the list.
