Product description

When things go bad, your eyes go to the threat, not your sights. XS built the DXT2 around that reality, and around the aging eyes and changing vision that make a small front sight hard to pick up. The front is a big 0.188 in. dot with a tritium vial at its center and a convex photoluminescent Glow Dot around it that gathers light and glows when the lights go down.

The rear is a shallow V with a white-outlined tritium bar, so the sight picture is simple: put the dot on top of the bar, like dotting an i, and press. XS calls it an Express sight picture, and the low V leaves a wide field of view around the front dot. Orange is the color XS says tested most visible in daylight, while the tritium carries the job after dark.

XS machines the DXT2 from steel with a Black Oxide finish and adds a rear ledge for one-handed slide manipulation. The set fits standard holsters, installs with a hammer and punch, and comes with a hex wrench, red threadlocker and an instruction insert.

This set (XS part SW-0039S-5N) fits the S&W M&P M2.0 Optics Ready full size and compact in 9mm, .40 S&W and .45 ACP, the M&P M2.0 Optics Ready 10mm and the M&P9 M2.0 Metal full size. XS lists part SW-0039S-5N for the M&P M2.0 Optics Ready full size and compact (9mm, .40 S&W, .45 ACP), the M&P M2.0 Optics Ready in 10mm and the M&P9 M2.0 Metal full size. XS sells other DXT2 sets for the standard M&P, Shield, Shield EZ and Bodyguard.

Will these co-witness with a red dot on my Optics Ready slide?

XS labels this set standard height, not optic height, so it isn't made to co-witness through a red dot. Front height is 0.340 in. and rear height is 0.290 in.

Can I install them myself?

XS says DXT2 sights install with a hammer and punch, and the kit includes a hex wrench, red threadlocker and written instructions. If you'd rather not drift sights yourself, a gunsmith can do it.
